Age: Adults
Fee: $120
Instructor: Jason Watts
Take a fresh look at landscape painting through the bold, simplified, and colorful approach of David Hockney. Students will explore how to turn an observed or imagined landscape into a stylized composition using simplified forms, unexpected color, and expressive shapes. Along the way, you'll learn the fundamentals of working with water-mixable oils, including base painting, layering, and glazing techniques to create depth, atmosphere, and luminous color.
Designed for both beginners and experienced painters, this class is an opportunity to loosen up, experiment with color, and discover your own approach to the modern landscape
