EAG Match Challenge for 25th Anniversary Fund
On the occasion of the Elmhurst Art Museum’s 25th anniversary, Elmhurst Artists' Guild (EAG) President, Wes Baker, and Museum Board Member, Suzanne Goldstein Baker, announced a special challenge to EAG members -- they will match all contributions from EAG members to the Museum, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $5,000.
The founders and members of the early Elmhurst Artists' Guild were instrumental in making the dream of the Elmhurst Art Museum a reality. Now that the Museum is 25 years old, it has substantial infrastructure expenses along with other financial needs to allow it to continue to grow and be the high quality art museum of the 21st Century that EAG founders sought.
Your contributions will help provide a sustainable environment for both the Museum and the beautiful EAG Gallery.
The cost of the current HVAC and roof renovation project is over $1.3 million. Critically important, these renovations will ensure that the EAG Gallery, along with the Museum galleries, educational center, and other spaces, will have improved, consistent climate control and that the building will be solid for the future. Additionally, the renovations are expected to reduce emissions and energy use by 50%, thus improving the Museum and the EAG Gallery environment both inside and out.
Although some of the costs of the renovation project are being supported by grants from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Frankenthaler Climate Initiative, these grants are not sufficient.
Your support is needed. Please donate to the EAM 25th Anniversary Fund today and double the impact of your contribution.
