Students will gain experience in centering, throwing, and trimming clay to create functional and decorative ceramic works. During each class, students will spend a portion of the class on the wheel and a portion on hand-building or glazing. The class is open-ended and self-driven, and the instructor will provide support and advice to students as they work on their unique projects and develop their own style. Demonstrations and instruction in class will cover basic forms, surface design, and glazing techniques.
