Be part of this annual tradition in Elmhurst. In 2022, the Elmhurst Art Museum helped relaunch Art in Wilder Park with a widely successful festival that attracted over 7,500 visitors. For 2023, the Museum takes the reigns as lead producer of the outdoor festival, and we’ve set our sights on an even larger, more inclusive and accessible event for the whole family. Festival programming will feature over 125 booths of one-of-a-kind art, food vendors and hands-on kid’s activities.

As the first outdoor festival in the region each year, Art in Wilder Park is a highly anticipated Spring event in the western suburbs. In 2022, the event was voted one of the Best in the West, featured in numerous press outlets, and attracted nearly half of its visitors from outside of Elmhurst. Post festival evaluations showed a high percentage of the attendees also visited and supported local restaurants, coffee shops, and other businesses.

We have limited space for kid-focused, community partners to participate. Set-up will take place Friday, May 5 between 4-8pm and Saturday, May 6 from 6-9am. The Kids Court space fee for both days for is $125 (nonrefundable) and is due on March 1, 2023.

Display Specifications:
Kid's Court partners must provide their own 10”x10” tent, tables, chairs and other display equipment. Stakes are allowed on the grass.
Tent is required with 50 lb. weights on each side.

OUTDOOR PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION: With our partner the Elmhurst Park District, we will present a special outdoor art installation by ten local artists and youth groups. This newly commissioned public art installation will encourage more attendance, press, and engagement in Wilder Park this year. The museum will have a special booth with information about this installation and our summer blockbuster exhibition the Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross.
