No perfectionism! No traditional rules!

In this 5-week course, you’ll dive into the joy of experimentation, embracing mistakes, and thinking outside the box—all while developing 2–3 personal works. Using abstract art as a guide, we’ll explore ways to translate emotion, memory, and experience into visually compelling compositions—without literal representation.

Each class encourages:

  • Creative risk-taking and rule-breaking
  • Intuitive, instinct-driven decision-making
  • Turning dreams, emotions, and memories into personal pieces
  • Moving beyond traditional style and technique toward reactive, expressive forms

We’ll experiment with techniques that bypass conscious control, encouraging playful improvisation: dripping, pouring, collage, pastels, painting with hands, and other unorthodox methods. The focus is on process over product—discovering how your personal emotional ideas can take shape as visual language and embracing the unexpected.

This course is for anyone ready to let go of perfectionism, embrace play, and reconnect with the joy of painting freely.
